Volcanic eruption in Eyjafjallajökull, 2010 Until now we have almost solely seen documentary photos of the eruption in Eyjafjallajökull. The photographs in this exhibition show different stories and gives people the possibility of enjoying beauty within a frightening moment, driving the imagination. Fridrik´s images in this exhibition were photographed from helicopter in close presence with the eruption and show steam, ash, lava and ice explode out of the stratovolcano´s caldera. They show us the eruption surprisingly; mysterious and closer than we have experienced before. The aphopenic symmetrical photographs ignite the imagination for finding unknown shapes; wonderful, strange, hypnotizing, complicated or simple. They remind of klecksogaphy where inkblots make mirrored images. This method has been known from the time of Da Vinchi & Bottichelli. In the last century many know of the Rorschach psychological test where inkblots are used for analyzing personalities. Photographs are infused into the aluminum coating. Editions of 8.
