Maison Jean Gouffé was a famous cabinet maker in the 1930s-1940s and its contemporary furniture was directed by Jean Royère from 1934 to 1942 who made a name for himself and became a famous designer in the 1940s-1950s. Jean Gouffé made furniture for Royère and others including the Duke & Duchess of Windsor.
