Untitiled, circa 1965 (Netherlands), signed: ’NEYTS’ Solid bronze (excellent condition, verdigris) Sjef Neyts (Nuenen 1923 – 2014) worked as a model maker at George Pal’s film studio that made animation and advertising films for Philips. He took drawing lessons with Kees Bol and Karel Vermeeren at the then Academy of Industrial Design in Eindhoven. He made his free work mainly in metals such as zinc, copper and bronze. He got his inspiration mainly from nature, for which he cherished a great love. In addition, Neyts work is characterized by sound technical craftsmanship.
